BO is a character-driven ensemble piece that tracks multiple stories within an Italian-American family unit and its respective relationships, over the course of a few summer days in New York. These interweaved tales revolve around familial patriarch Tomasino 'Bo' Bonifacci, and deal with themes of generational bond, fathers and estranged sons, cooking, food celebrity, the fishing life, sibling dynamics, unfaithful love, friendship loyalty, and letting go of the past. At times both heartfelt and comedic in its specificity, this richly textured journey offers detailed characterizations, and addresses universal themes - providing an impactful emotional experience for anyone who has ever dealt with the trials and tribulations of our human need for famiglia.

DANIEL BONEVILLE

Award-winning filmmaker Daniel Boneville holds a BFA degree in Film and Television from the legendary Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where his GPA and creative accomplishments earned him admittance to the Dean's Leadership Circle, and selection as a member of the University Scholars - a small group of emerging student artists that represents Tisch at domestic and international engagements. He graduated with the top of his class, completing all scholastic requirements a year early, and was honored with the illustrious Founders Day Award for outstanding academic excellence.

Since then, Daniel has immersed himself in strong learning environments - ones that have allowed expansion upon both his technical craft and industry knowledge. As assistant to the NYU film industry liaison, Jeremiah Newton, he worked  with some of the biggest names in the business, along with participating in such external events as the Hamptons Film Festival - where he has served as both a juror and panel speaker. This job was balanced out with several on-set production positions in the Tri-State Area. As a result of these employment experiences, Academy Award winner Oliver Stone hired him to work at his Ixtlan office in Los Angeles.

Daniel has independently written, directed, photographed, and edited all of his various past films and documentaries; being an experienced piano player and student of music, he composed the scores for these pictures as well. An avid traveler, he has worked throughout the USA and countries abroad as a freelance videographer - including collaborations with esteemed food writer and television personality, David Rosengarten.

After his intense Yearn project was accepted into the New York Short Film Festival and received recognition on both coasts, Daniel was able to mount Lily - starring Peter Facinelli (Twilight, Nurse Jackie). This haunting tale went on to be accepted at multiple film festivals around the world, winning awards for Best Short Film and Best Cinematography. Oliver Stone called the piece, "intriguing” and “strong in its symbolism”. “In a boldly surreal film, Daniel Boneville confidently directs the actors, the camera, and the story, while showing his potential as a fine, young director."

With two of his feature screenplays in development, Daniel is currently helming a powerful and darkly comedic drama entitled BO - starring Academy Award nominee Danny Aiello (Do the Right Thing, Moonstruck), Peter Facinelli, and featuring an all-star ensemble cast; with this piece, he uniquely tackles his New York Italian-American roots, and passion for all aspects of the culinary arts.

Daniel is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, and recently completed work on Loosies - starring Peter Facinelli, Jaimie Alexander, Vincent Gallo, Michael Madsen, and Joe Pantoliano.

Daniel is also an inducted member of the Friars Club, which has for generations served as an exclusive bastion for the most prestigious and influential entertainers of our time.

DANNY AIELLO

Danny Aiello's versatile and naturalistic acting style has earned him critical and worldwide recognition for nearly four decades. His early Broadway debut in Lamppost Reunion earned him a Theatre World Award, followed by an OBIE Award for his work in Albert Innaurato's Gemini, and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in David Rabe's Hurlyburly - opposite Sean Penn.

Danny has acted in over eighty films, with some of the most popular and respected artists in cinema history. He twice worked with Robert DeNiro in Bang the Drum Slowly and Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In America, Al Pacino in City Hall, Tim Robbins in Jacob's Ladder, Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor in Harlem Nights, Cher and Nicolas Cage in Moonstruck, Gary Oldman and Natalie Portman in Léon, and Bruce Willis in Hudson Hawk. He appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather Part II, Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo and Radio Days, Robert Altman's Prêt-à-Porter, and Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing - which garnered him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also turned in memorable performances in 29th Street, Ruby, 2 Days in the Valley, Dinner Rush, and Brooklyn Lobster.

Among Danny's vast television appearances are his Emmy Award-winning portrayal in Family of Strangers, Madonna's father in the Papa Don't Preach music video, a mafia patriarch in Mario Puzo's The Last Don, and a New York City cop turned private investigator in Dellaventura.

An experienced singer and live performer, Danny has released several albums including I Just Wanted To Hear The Words, Live From Atlantic City, and Bridges.

BO marks the first collaboration for Danny Aiello and writer/director Daniel Boneville: "I created the titular role of Tomasino ‘Bo’ Bonifacci specifically for Danny - who I've been watching and admiring in movies since I was a kid. On a personal level, the fact that he responded so strongly to the script was a dream come true, as this is truly a labor of love in the purest sense of the term. It’s a part that Danny was born to play, and in many ways culminates his career-long efforts as a powerful, New York character actor."

PETER FACINELLI

Peter Facinelli studied with the Atlantic Theater Company through New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts program before making his feature film debut in Rebecca Miller's Angela. Other television roles followed, such as Tim Matheson's son in An Unfinished Affair, where he met future wife and mother of his three daughters - actress Jennie Garth.

Peter moved on to such feature projects as Touch Me, with Amanda Peet, Dancer, Texas Pop. 81, with Ethan Embry and Breckin Meyer, and Can't Hardly Wait, with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jerry O'Connell. He also worked alongside Angelina Jolie in Foxfire, Angela Bassett and James Spader in Supernova, Burt Reynolds in Tempted, Kevin Spacey and Danny Devito in The Big Kahuna, Drew Barrymore in Riding in Cars with Boys, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in The Scorpion King, and Matthew Broderick in Finding Amanda. Most recently, he played the role of Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the record-breaking box office Twilight franchise.

On television, Peter starred in the FOX action drama Fastlane, with Bill Bellamy and Tiffani Thiessen, HBO's Six Feet Under, and the FX series Damages, with Glenn Close.  He can currently be seen starring as Dr. Fitch Cooper on Showtime's Emmy Award-winning program Nurse Jackie, with Edie Falco.

BO marks the second collaboration for Peter Facinelli and writer/director Daniel Boneville, after their award-winning surreal venture - Lily: "Much like with Danny Aiello, the role of Michael Bonifacci was written for Peter Facinelli, and I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing it. Peter is a fantastic collaborator; and since we're both New York-born, Italian-American boys - this dynamic character will showcase his considerable talents on a whole new level for his fans."
